Need a watercolor painting retreat? Join Sharon Ann Smith at the Markeim for this introductory painting-packed workshop! In this beginners workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to practice watercolor techniques, styles, and color mixing in an easy, step-by-step process. Under the guidance and expertise of Sharon, you will apply your new skills to create an original, beautiful 5″x7″ watercolor illustration of your own to take home! All supplies are included. Bring a friend and let’s create!
This workshop is primarily recommended for adults, but participants 14+ are welcome to join. Participants under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult taking the workshop. Masks are optional.

Sharon Ann Smith is an academically trained artist working from life in oil and watercolor. She creates museum quality paintings using skills developed by the old masters while incorporating vibrant color and lively brushwork. Each painting carries with it a love of beauty and life, and refined artistry of the highest quality that is sure to bring color and life to your home and uplift your heart! Sharon Ann uses many mediums to express artistry, but prefers the fluidity of oil painting over all other mediums.
Sharon’s work has been displayed and exhibited at the Perkin’s Center of the Arts in Moorestown, NJ, the Pitman Art Gallery in Pitman, NJ, Eilan Arts in Merchantville, NJ and the Markeim Center for the Arts in Haddonfield, NJ. Her work is in many private art collections and recently, a part of the Oil Painters of America online exhibit and show. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America (OPA) and the Portrait Society of America (PSA).
Sharon studied portraiture, figure painting, and still life at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, PA (a prestigious and well-known studio and school for portraiture and figure painting). Additionally, Sharon Ann has studied with classic realist artists, including Steve Early, Natalie Italiano, Darren Kingsley, Rob Goodman, Peter Kelsey, and JaFang Lu.
