Made in Ameri©a is a collection of works by Erik James Montgomery curated for the Markeim Arts Center. Made in Ameri©a connects the dots between America’s history and America now, and captures untold stories of race and oppression, (in)justice, and the power of Black joy.

Prints of the photographs listed are available for purchase and come in two sizing options: 20″x30″ for $500, and 8″x12″ for $100. All purchases are local pick-up only; upon purchase, you will receive an email from the Markeim to schedule a pick-up time. For special circumstances, shipping arrangements may be made at an additional fee. Prints are made to order. All proceeds will go directly to Erik James Montgomery.

Erik is the owner and instructor at EJM Photography located in southwest New Jersey. EJM Photography creates personalized portraits, inspirational images, and provides photographic coverage for special events and weddings. Additionally, Erik has showcased his photography at various art galleries, colleges and community events over the past 25 years.

​In 2011, Erik founded The Erik James Montgomery Foundation which is dedicated to instructing at-risk youth in the artistic development of professional photography. His students learn the fundamentals of the craft as well as being introduced to entrepreneurship. The Foundation also creates public works of art for impoverished neighborhoods in order to transform blight into beauty.

Erik is tirelessly working on several projects including PSA’s targeting social issues, a photographic version of the Bible, opening centers for photography education and exploration, and several exhibits featuring his artwork. Through exhibits, photographic books, public art and various collaborations, he plans to make his impact felt for generations to come.
