Summer Art Camp

SUMMER ART CAMP is all about creative thinking and problem solving while exploring a variety of art materials and processes. Activities and projects will be inspired by biweekly themes and emphasized life skills, including:

Weeks 1 & 2: Art and Culture Around the Globe (Empathy/Cultural Tolerance)
Weeks 3 & 4: American Pop Culture, Imagery, & Icons (Innovation/Diversity)
Weeks 5 & 6: Protecting our Animals and Creatures and Beasts, OH MY! (Social Responsibility/Global Awareness)
Weeks 7 & 8: Building a Bright Future: STEAM (Teamwork/Problem Solving)

Similar to prior years, we are offering multiple camp attendance options:

Morning session, 9:00 am-12:00 pm | $275/week Member, $300/week Nonmember
Afternoon session, 1:00-4:00 pm | $275/week Member, $300/week Nonmember
Full day session, 9:00 am-4:00 pm | $550/week Member, $600/week Nonmember
*Campers registering in 2-week blocks (rather than one week at a time) will receive a $20 discount off their registration (built into the price of tuition)

Camp registration will be limited to 36 campers per session (am and pm), which will be split up into 3 cohorts of campers based on age and ability level. Campers will spend the day alternating between indoors and outdoors activities with their primary counselor and will also participate in specialty classes throughout the week including yoga, dance, clay/ceramics, etc. Markeim has designed every day differently in order to expand our campers’ minds.

Campers have the option for registering for both weeks, or one week at a time. At the end of every biweekly camp session, Markeim will host an exhibit of campers’ artworks completed in those two weeks.
