Sara Metente – designara jewelry
Sara is a jewelry designer specializing in hand-made clay bead pieces. She loves color, pattern, and texture and strives to create pieces that are unique and wearable. Having first used clay as kid to make figurines and miniature food for her dollhouse, she later discovered the endless possibilities of using clay to make jewelry… possibilities that bring excitement to her and her work every day. In addition to clay beads, Sara also enjoys crocheting, which is always done under the close supervision of her two cats, Peek-a-boo and Peanut.
Sara went to Rutgers University, Camden, where she studied art history, museum studies, and photography. She currently works at an art museum in Philadelphia and feels “very lucky to get to visit amazing works of art everyday that bring inspiration and joy.”
