“Funny” is a group photography exhibition, curated by Norm Hinsey, to be presented at the Markeim Arts Center in Haddonfield in February, 2017.
The curator will select works from those submitted to be included in the show. Photographers are encouraged to submit up to 5 images by e-mail to the curator directly (firstname.lastname@example.org) any time prior to January 24, 2017, two weeks before the show opens.
“Funny” images submitted should be those that the photographer considers funny – posed, staged, photosopped or candid. This could be the humor of the image or perhaps the photo is funny as an object. Please send me your images and, if not obviously funny, but funny to you, tell me why with your submission.PROSPECTUS

Photographs accepted must be framed and ready to hang.
Framed work must not weigh more than 30 lbs
Free to submit up to 5 digital images (please keep size to less than 1
mb each) and $15 fee per image accepted for the exhibition – No fee for
submitted or accepted work for current or new Markeim members.

Markeim has limited storage area – work left beyond the last pick up
date will be subject to a $5.00 per day fee.
Labels must be filled out and attached to each piece entered in the exhibition.
Markeim will send an e-mail announcement of this exhibition to its mailing list and will publicize this exhibition through local newspaper listings, web-sites and community announcements. Participating artists should send show information to their friends, family, and contact list. Flyers will also be available.
SALE OF WORK:
All work should be offered for sale. Markeim Arts Center will receive a 35% commission on sale of work.
All reasonable care will be taken with work submitted for this exhibition. Artists must agree with the terms of Markeim’s exhibition policy and will be asked to give the insured value of their work.
Norm Hinsey is a photographer as well as director of CREON Gallery in New York City. He has curated several shows at the Markeim, including HOME, MYSTERIOUS, ALL NATURUAL, INSPIRED, EYE OF THE BEHOLDER, and PORTRAIT. CREON has recently shown a retrospective of photographs by Krzysztof Zarebski; and hosted EXPOSED, an exhibition that included work by Ellen Carey and Amanda Means exploring new and unique photographic processes.
