Thursday, June 4 – Sunday, June 21
An Exhibit of works in stained glass and wire mesh. Artist Risa Batterman-Dera is a contemporary stained glass artist. She works in the copper foil method of stained glass popularized by Louis Tiffany in the early 1900’s. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and this exhibition is the final requirement in fulfillment of her Master of Fine Arts Degree. Artist Bonnie Shanas transforms life images into figurative expressions by combining low and high relief sculpture with three dimensional techniques. All of her sculptures are hand formed from flat sheets of wire mesh — there are no molds or casts used in the creation process, making each piece individual and unique.
Artist Reception, Sunday, June 7, 4 PM to 7 PM.
Extended Gallery Hours: 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 13 and Saturday, June 20
