Risa Batterman-Dera is a contemporary stained glass artist. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and her masters in Fine Arts from Warnborough. She has explored and practiced various forms of art throughout her career, both as an artist and art instructor. Currently teaching in a variety of community art programs including disabled and special needs adult and children classes, after school arts and crafts programs and adult education programs, she is able to share her passion and enthusiasm for the creative arts with those that would not necessarily have access to them.
A longtime resident of New Jersey, Risa resides in Cherry Hill with her husband and three children, where she has her studio. Risa has participated in invitational and juried exhibits throughout the United States, and her creations can be found in both private and public collections.
